Aunt Jessie Came to Town

In honor of Aunt Jessie being Ben's first blog follower, he asked me to post these photos from her visit July 10-12!

Beach Day

To satisfy Mom's hankering for a summer swim, Noah, Ben and I headed to Lake Nagawicka (near Milwaukee). While I swam, Ben and Dad napped and then played. Ben loved all the stimulation of being outdoors -- trees, breezes, even a few rain drops.

Because it was a beach day, he wore his new swim suit from Aunt Sophia. (For some reason, I can't seem to get the photo to stay here. For all Ben's beach photos, click here.)

As a fair trade for my time in the water, Noah prevailed on me to go to Kopp's after. So, Uncle Joe will be glad to know that Ben had his first frozen custard -- through breast milk, but still. Awesome flavor:

Bienenstichkuchen (or "Bee Sting Cake")

A delightful German dessert; almond flavored custard mingled with yellow cake pieces, honey, Bavarian creme and sliced almonds.

Wedding Weekend

This weekend, Ben attended his first wedding. Here he is with the Groom, Mike Krill.

Technically, it was Ben's second wedding. He partied in utero at Mike's sister Kortney's wedding three weeks before he was born.

New Friends

As we do in the midwest, Ben dropped by this week to meet Joe and Nancy Dwyer and their sons, Patrick, Thomas and Collin. Joe's baby-pushing (pre-Ben) was second only to my mom's. Ben is lucky to be the recipient of MANY hand-me-downs from Thomas... including his bassinet and bathtub.
